If all the excitement, joy, despair and passion haven’t overwhelmed you yet, we’ve got some tips on the best places to catch the final between Argentina and Germany in London happening this Sunday.
If the weather holds out, an open air viewing could be just the ticket. Here are our favourites:
Netil360 in London Fields have a roof terrace to rival all roof terraces and better still you can bring your own booze. For a cheap, cheery and airy experience this is the place for you. Turn up bearing your beverage of choice from 4pm.
For the south of the river dwellers, the iconic Battersea Power Station has opened its doors to the public for the summer and has many treats on offer. With food and drink brought to you by the Street Feast team and open-air entertainment from Everyman Cinema, you can have your cake and eat it too!
And for our less weather-dependent options:
If a full-blown Brazilian style party is what you’re in the mood for The Vaults under Waterloo Station has it covered. A giant screen for match viewings, fusbol and ping pong tournaments, pumping music and all the food and drink you can handle.
Rich Mix is also on the Brazil carnival vibe with live DJs playing Brazilian classics before and after a free viewing of the match. Get your dancing shoes on even if the Brazilians aren’t in the mood to any more.
If you’re supporting Germany and huge tankards of beer are more your thing you’ll want to be watching the match at Bavarian Beerhouse in Old Street. They offer table service to avoid missing any goals, huge plates of sausages on offer and a DJ to finish off the night in celebration regardless of who wins. Sounds like everyone’s a winner!
If none of these take your fancy there are hundreds more venues screening the matches in your local area. Just walk out your front door!
